Update - Dampier Sale
Several nice horses passed through the tent today at L.D. and Sheila Dampier's sale. Overcoming a rough, wet Friday start, Saturday's weather was a pleasant surprise. If you are in the market for a reasonably priced trail horse you missed a great opportunity in Lebanon. As always, L.D. had 15 - 20 ready to go trail prospects and another 20 found their way to the sale. Remember When, a 13 yr. old gelding owned by Kent Hyde of Springfield and purchased by R.L. Webb of Cabool, topped at $3,500. Another handful sold in the $2,500 + range. Most going to out of state buyers. Another 10 entries were bid into the $3,000 range, but in the end were no-saled. In a rough estimate, half of the consignees were a color other than sorrel.
All points show an upswing in the good horse market.
